maxxit stores the project descriptions, selected excerpts, usage observations, preferences, and suggestion feedback you provide. The collector uploads only the categories and project roots you approve. Secret filtering is best-effort; inspect the preview before sharing.
Model processing
When you consent to recommendations, selected project context and your preferences are sent to the configured OpenAI model using maxxit’s server-side API key. maxxit does not use your coding subscription for inference and does not start tasks in your accounts.
Access and deletion
Clerk handles account authentication. You can export your maxxit data, revoke collector devices, and delete your maxxit account in Settings. Deletion removes active database records and cancels pending work by preventing jobs from finding your account. Clerk identity removal is managed separately in your Clerk account.
Retention and notifications
Selected project context stays until you remove it or delete your account. Operational generation and rate-limit records are pruned after the configured retention period, initially 30 days. Server backup retention is set by the operator, initially 14 days. Backups may retain deleted data until they expire. Email reminders are opt-in and use your verified account email.
